چکیده

Aim of study: The effect microencapsulated phenolic compound extracts Maclura tinctoria (MTBE) on growth performance and humoral immunity markers the white leg shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei juveniles (0.5 ± 0.2 g initial weight) was studied.Area M. collected from Hampolol, Campeche, Arroyo del Agua, Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico.Material methods: Three MTBE inclusions (0.5, 1, 2.5 MTBE/kg, Purina®) were compared with a control commercial feed (Purina®) during 30 days. Nine acids, nine flavonols, four dihydro-flavonoids, flavones, seven unidentified compounds determined fin using Perkin Elmer® HPLC chromatograph diode array-detection.Main results: mean concentrations total compounds, flavonoid condensed tannins 198.05 5.59 mg gallic acid equivalent (GAE) g-1 dw, 78.57 1.80 quercetin g-1, 28.32 0.33 epicatechin respectively. ferric reducing antioxidant power capacity, respectively, averaged GAE mL-1 10.9 ascorbic mL-1. Survival, weight gain, specific rate L. similar among experimental diets. dietary inclusion at 0.5 g/kg food showed significant higher (p < 0.05) plasma hemocyte lysate protein (1.35 0.055 µg mL-1), prophenoloxidase (0.47 0.15, Abs. 492 nm), superoxide anion (O2.-) activity (0.21 0.07, 630 nm).Research highlights: supplementation could be considered as potential alternative additive for diet in juvenile production, since it improved response post larval life stages, when cultivated are more susceptible to infected by pathogens.

Effect of PSP toxins in white leg shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei Boone, 1931.

Cultured shrimp are often exposed to different toxic products during rearing practices that may affect survival and quality of the product. An evaluation of the effects of paralytic shellfish toxins (PSP) from species of Gymnodinium catenatum in white leg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) has been carried out in this study. Death was observed at doses > 5.0 MU (equivalent to 1.1 mug/g of STX), whil...

Distribution of trace elements in tissues of shrimp species Litopenaeus vannamei (Boone, 1931) from Bahia, Brazil.

In this study, concentrations of trace elements in tissues of shrimp species (Litopenaeus vannamei) from farming and zone natural coastal located in the northeastern Brazil were investigated. The elements determination was performed by optical emission spectrometry with inductively coupled plasma (ICP OES). The following ranges of concentrations in the tissues were obtained in µg g-1 dry weight...

Substitution of fish meal with plant protein sources and energy budget for white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei (Boone, 1931)

Fish meal (FM) has long been considered an essential ingredient for the formulation of shrimp feeds. Until recently, 12%FM was considered a minimum amount, below which weight gain would become reduced due to a reduction in feed intake. In order to test this perceived minimum value, an experiment was conducted on a long-term basis with 4 replicates. Four practical isonitrogenous and isoenergetic...

Study on nursery growth performance of Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei Boone, 1931) under different feeding levels in zero water exchange system

Effect of different feeding levels on water quality, growth performance, survival rate and body composition of Pacific white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei post larvae were studied in zero water exchange system. Shrimp post larvae with mean weight of 74.46± 6.17 mg were fed for 32 days in 300L fiberglass tanks containing 130L water at density of 1 post larvae L-1. There were five treatments includ...

Effect of different levels of dietary protein and water salinity on antioxidant enzymes of white leg shrimp (Penaeus vannamei) juveniles

In this study, effect of different levels of dietary protein (25, 35 and 45 per cent) and water salinity (0-3, 12-15 and 32-35 ppt) on antioxidant enzymes of white leg shrimp (Penaeus vannamei) was studied. 324 P.vannamei (with mean weight±SE: 5.55 ± 0.18 gr) were randomly distributed in twenty seven tanks. Experimental shrimps were fed by formulated diets for 56 days and at the end of the expe...
